Microsoft has recently announced that security updates and patches for its Windows XP operating system will end from 08 April 2014.

Many organisations are now having to update older PCs and laptops to Windows 7 or Windows 8.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind our users that Prosig DATS/P8000 version 7.0 (or higher) is fully compatible with both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Prosig is aware that some users are using older versions of Prosig DATS/P8000 with Windows XP. You should be aware that some older versions of Prosig DATS/P8000 (those prior to V7.0) are not fully compatible with Windows 7 or Windows 8. If you are running an older version and you intend to upgrade your version of Windows you need to be aware that compatibility issues may arise.

If your maintenance agreement is up to date, but you are unsure about how to go about upgrading your DATS/P8000 software for a new version of Windows then please contact Prosig Support at support@prosig.com or call +44 (0)1329 239965.

If you do not have a current maintenance agreement and would like to discuss upgrading your version of DATS/P8000 prior to upgrading your Windows then please contact Prosig on +44 (0)1329 239925 or sales@prosig.com.
