Dr Colin Mercer
Dr Colin Mercer is the Technical Director of Prosig and has prime responsibility for signal processing and its applications. He was formerly at the Institute of Sound and Vibration research (ISVR), Southampton University where he founded the Data Analysis Centre. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
James Wren

James Wren is an Application Engineer and the Sales Manager for Prosig Limited. James graduated from Portsmouth University in 2001, with a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Electronic Engineers. He has been involved with motorsport from a very early age with special interest in data acquisition. James is a founder member of the Dalmeny Racing team.
Adrian Lincoln
Adrian Lincoln is a director of Prosig Ltd and has responsibilities for signal processing applications, training and overseas sales. He was formerly a Research Fellow at the Institute of Sound & Vibration Research (ISVR) at Southampton University. He is a Chartered Engineer and member of the British Computer Society and Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
Don Davies
Don Davies graduated from Southampton’s Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) in 1979 and is now a director of Prosig Ltd. Don has many years experience in developing software specifically in the areas of signal processing and data acquisition. More recently he has specialised in the capture and analysis of vibration data from rotating machines such as power station turbine generators, leading to the development of Prosig’s PROTOR product. Don is the Product Manager for the PROTOR system. Prosig have installed PROTOR systems at more than 30 Power Stations world-wide, continuously monitoring over 150 individual items of plant. Don is a member of the British Computer Society.
John Mathey
John Mathey graduated with a MS degree from the University of Toledo in 1972. John has over 35 years of experience with instrumentation, measurement, and analysis. Twenty-five of those years were spent at Ford Motor Company solving and providing training for vehicle noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) issues. He is now a technical specialist at Prosig USA, Inc. where he provides technical support to Prosig customers in the U.S.A.
Chris Mason
Chris Mason graduated from Portsmouth Polytechnic in 1983 with a HND in Mathematics, Statistics & Computing. He is a technical director of Prosig Ltd. From a background in software engineering and programming, Chris now leads the development of Prosig’s DATS software package. In addition, he writes for and maintains the Prosig Noise and Vibration Blog.
Richard O’Sullivan
Richard O’Sullivan, of Quiet! Acoustic and Vibration Consulting and Prosig Deutschland, has been a Noise and Vibration Specialist for over 20 years. After graduating in Mech. Eng at Bradford University he worked for Rover, Landrover, MIRA, Ford, Visteon and Johnson Controls in the UK and Germany. He enjoys the challenge of noise and vibration problems and has developed many new measurement and analysis techniques to solve them. With portable measuring equipment from Prosig he is well equipped for world-wide troubleshooting.
