We are Prosig. This is our blog, where we share knowledge and best practices with engineers, researchers and academics across the world. We design, manufacture and sell systems to measure and analyse noise & vibration.

You can find Prosig’s main website here.

Who Are Prosig?

Prosig was founded in 1977 by staff from the Institute of Sound & Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton. We supply reliable, high-quality measurement systems and offer support, consultancy, rental and training services.

We have assisted companies, defence organizations, F1 teams, power generators, universities, and research organizations worldwide for five decades.

Prosig is a part of CMTG. The group’s capability helps us provide complete engineering solutions across various disciplines and market sectors. Partners, resellers and agents support businesses across the globe.

We are passionate about sound and vibration measurement. We needed high precision and high integrity tools to measure and analyse sound and vibration. Nothing we found was good enough, so we made our own.

Who Are CMTG?

CMTG brings quality, innovation, and service to a range of precision markets. CMTG specialises in vibration analysis and the science of structural and rotating machinery condition monitoring for the aviation, defence, automotive, and power industries. CMTG offers a wide range of system capability, innovation, and over 45 years of experience. They provide the technologies and services to optimise complex systems, identify potential failures and help our customers plot solutions, reduce costs and improve safety.

CMTG is made up of Helitune, Semia, SEI, Beran, Prosig, and DJB. and has local sales and support facilities in the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the USA.
